Holistic Massage
It’s a combination of various movements which involves soft, long, kneading, rolling and wringing strokes, light to medium pressure on top layers of muscles and flowing movements over the body. It’s ideal if you never had a massage treatment before. It’s relaxing and energising.
Sports Massage
Sports massage is a form of massage that manipulates soft tissue to benefit people who engage in regular physical activity. Soft tissue includes skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia (a type of connective tissue that lines and covers other soft tissues). Sports massage is designed to correct problems and imbalances in soft tissue that can be caused by repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma. Applying sports massage before and after exercise may improve performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage that relieves restrictions, tensions and pain in the deep layers of muscle and fascial connective tissue. Similar strokes as Swedish massage is used but movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.
Finger tips, knuckles, elbows, or forearms are used to help achieve good treatment results. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.
Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage is similar to a Swedish Massage, which aims to relax muscle tension and improve lymphatic and blood circulation through mild pressure applied to the muscle groups of the body. Swedish Massage is the recommended massage method during pregnancy because it addresses many common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormone shifts.
Oncology Massage
Oncology massage or also called Cancer Care is a soft tissue manipulation that uses light touch and gentle movement. Using the whole hand while applying slow and light touch to the limbs, the massage therapist follows the flow of the lymphatic system. This encourages fluid transport and the removal of waste products from the tissues.
A very gentle relaxing massage to improve sleep quality, reduce anxiety and depression, and help with pain relief and the nausea often experienced by cancer patients
Reflexology
Reflexology is a type of massage that involves applying different amounts of pressure to the feet. It’s based on a theory that these body parts are connected to certain organs and body systems. It is believed that applying pressure to these parts offers a range of health benefits.
Stimulating these reflex areas unblocks nerve impulses and improves blood circulation to leave you feeling physically relaxed and re-energised. Reflexology treatments also calm and relax the mind thereby reducing stress and anxiety
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
A gentle, therapeutic massage using very light pressure and slow, rhythmic movements to stimulate the lymphatic system. It supports natural drainage, helps reduce swelling and fluid retention, and encourages healthy circulation throughout the body.
Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage
A more dynamic and sculpting-focused technique that combines lymphatic drainage with faster, firmer movements. It helps reduce fluid retention and puffiness while enhancing body contours, leaving the body feeling lighter, smoother and more defined.
